  • Go Pack Go with Custom AF1s

I have mentioned several times over the last few months that I am a resident of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You may not know that I am a huge Green Bay Packers fan going back to the terrible teams of the mid-1980s. I was just at the Packers-Raiders game, came home and found these awesome AF1s from the King of Sneakers that warmed my frozen heart.

The green/gold colorway is not necessarily the most appealing to those outside of the Packers sphere of influence. I love the giant G placed on the toe box of each shoe, giving any self-respecting Packers fan a way to show off their fandom to all. The excess of yellow paint used on the rest of the shoe is punctuated briefly by lines of green paint.

This pair of customs from King of Sneakers is outstanding for its craftsmanship and creativity. The only problem lies with the iconic colors of the Green Bay Packers. The green and gold does not translate to shoes that well though I am a traditionalist and certainly don’t want to see the Pack change their colors. King of Sneakers did a great job here celebrating one of the historic franchises in the NFL.

Nike 6.0 Air Mogan Premium Womens

Nike continues to use a variety of interesting fabrics and materials for their women’s shoes. The Nike 6.0 Air Mogan features faux fur, along with leather and suede. This sneaker is a premium model.

This ladies shoe mixes two shades of brown fur – including tan on the toe box and side panel, as well as a darker brown on the tongue. The rest of the shoe is white with red and some black lines mixed throughout. The white midsole and gum sole keep this shoe grounded.

This shoes features red laces and comes with a second pair. These sneakers are available right now at CCS for just $84.99.

    Nike Dunk Mid Pro SB

This Nike Dunk Mid Pro SB has 2 shades of brown color. The toes box is lighter in shade and framed by the attractive reddish-brown.The shoe strap has a fanciful imprint of SB. This is a classical design and suitable for formal and informal wear.

The Nike Zoom Air Paul Rodriguez 2 is rather colorful. I like the way the shoe laces and Nike swoosh match in color. The tongue is enveloped in nice, blue mesh. This same blue is also used in accents around the ankle-heel and mid-sole. The clever use of accents makes the shoe look lively.

The Nike Dunk Lo Pro SB is made up of large segments of suede. There are about 6 different colors in the different panels.I think that the white color was brought in to tone down the colorful combination. I like the mild shades of forest green/earth brown/beige/grey.

The Nike Zoom Air Regime looks luxurious because it has its side panels in lime green and in shiny leather too. The other panels are in a mix of suede and smooth leather. I like the forest-green toe box and its matching green shoe laces. This dark green is also identified as the Christmas green used in festive decorations.

The Nike Blazer Lo Premium is the perfect shoe to relax in. The shoe upper is made entirely from suede, with the exception of the Nike swoosh. The backstab is a nice, bright blue.

The photos are after the jump.

  • Nike Patchwork Court Force Low & Blazer – Spring 2008

    Nike Patchwork Court Force Low

A few weeks ago, I blogged about some of the Nike Blazers coming out in 2008, and showed a picture of the new Patchwork Blazer. There will actually be another patchwork shoe released as well.

The Nike Patchwork Court Force Low (above) is a white sneaker that features the colorful patchwork material on the side panels with grey snakeskin in the heel area, giving it a little pizzazz. The front of the shoe remains white, providing an interesting look.

I actually like these sneakers a lot, primarily because the patchwork isn’t all over the shoe. Because the front of the shoe is white, you can wear these with a variety of different outfits.

Expect these shoes to be released in February 2008, along with the Blazer.
