Nike SB “What The Dunk” Dunk Lo.By SneakerFreak on October 7th, 2007 | No Comments
Nike SB has made a film entitled, “Nothing But The Truth”.A new shoe has been created to commemorate this important milestone in Nike history. This sneaker is named “What The Dunk” Dunk Lo.You can find out more on the Nike site.
This is a very unique and special sneaker because it combines elements from the past Dunk SBs in the previous 6 years. “What The Dunk” will be available in limited quantities in the cities where the Nike movie, “Nothing But The Truth” premieres.
These are very colorful shoes. The original shoe laces are in contrasting colors to provide the brilliant finishing touch to the shoe.On the left, the shoe has a plaid outer front. The inner side has shades of complementary blue. The outer side has the Nike logo resting against the back drop of a shining sun
The shoe that is displayed second from the left has a plain outer front but its complementary outer lining is patterned. Its inner lining shares the same color as the outer sole of the shoe.
I like the plain sneaker better than the plaid colored one.I think that the display of colors is striking. However, to buy a shoe that will be easy to mix and match with my wardrobe is my priority. Thus, I’ll take the plain colored sneaker anytime.

Vans Half Cab CamosBy SneakerFreak on October 7th, 2007 | No Comments
The use of camouflage and other military designs on sneakers usually annoys me. I haven’t been able to define why I am bothered when I see green camouflage on a perfectly good sneaker but I cringe when I see shoes like the Vans Half Cab Camo Series. This trio of mid-tops from Vans is available at
Goods and offers the wearer the choice of sand, black and olive colorways. The matching camouflage design on the upper is meant as homage to the urban warrior in all of us. I would get into these shoes if they didn’t have the upper design especially on the olive green colorway. I have a feeling this shoe appeals more to Ted Nugent and survivalists than it does the average Vans wearer. If you are forced to pick a part of this collection, go with the black colorway featured below. This colorway will make it look like you belong on the street instead of a duck blind in the boonies.

New Balance Tweed Pack Full of Earthy ColorsBy SneakerFreak on October 7th, 2007 | No Comments
The Tweed Pack put out by New Balance this autumn promises to be a favorite among college students with some money to kick around. The mixture of tweed, earthen tones and the comfort of New Balance shoes makes it a potent combination for the average college student with a penchant for shoes. You can find this pack, consisting of the M576 and two pairs of the M574s for one premium price, through
Caliroots at the moment. The M574 pictured above is my personal favorite because it is different from anything else put out by New Balance. While the tweed on each shoe makes it singular in the New Balance universe, the red/brown tweed mixes well with beige and brown. Anyone can find a pair of New Balance in black or a rustic brown if they look hard enough but the beige/brown colorway stands out. In the end, you can match any shoes in the New Balance Tweed Pack with anything in your closet. This compatibility with your closet makes the Tweed Pack a smart buy.

Adidas Americana Lo LuxBy SneakerFreak on October 6th, 2007 | No Comments
Just in time for Halloween, another holiday-inspired shoe. The Adidas Americana Lo Lux Jack-O-Lantern features a black colorway with orange, yellow and black laces.
These sneakers have a Jack-O-Lantern pattern on the heel and some interesting trim. The checkered pattern accent trim around the heel portion of the shoe makes them very unique.
I don’t mind the heel colors but I’d probably take the laces out and stick to straight up black laces instead. These shoes may be popular with the younger set around the Halloween holiday.
You can get them right now at Overkill.
